Microsoft and PHP

Recently on 4th Dec 09 I had attended an seminar “Microsoft Interop Days.”. Event was organized by Microsoft and its first time they had it in Pune. The basic motto for organizing such type of events all over the world is to speared awareness about the products and services given by the Microsoft which are supported to open source PHP, so that people will not loose any opportunities while working in PHP and need to use Microsoft technologies also. Points which were discussed in the event was:

  • Build an end-to-end, authentication and authorization model for your existing PHP application in less than 30 mins
  • Access your data exposed from your PHP app, through a RESTful service interface
  • Configuring Windows to run your PHP applications
  • Discover the web designer in you, to build pure CSS based PHP websites..

Some of very useful links I get from here was Microsoft Web Platform Installer 2.0 which will install all the required tools in few minutes on your machine and you are ready to built a website.

I personally feel this event is helpful for peoples like me who never ever heard about all this fantastic products of Microsoft which will help me to develop same PHP scripts with MS.
